Valves

Contact Graham-White for all of your valve needs. Our reputation as a quality innovator, designer and manufacturer is due in part to the value of our custom valves. Since the early 1900's, our technology has kept customers totally satisfied. Made with the finest materials and manufactured to customer specifications, only Graham-White Valves add the highest value to your bottom line. Our specialty areas are heavy-duty construction, operating in severe environments, high flow capacity and extreme voltage requirements in both DC and AC operation. Our Valve Family includes: Check Drain Operating (Conductor, Relay, Horn) Solenoid If your requirements are not listed below, contact us and ask how we can add value to your valves.

Drain Valves

Through innovative engineering and state-of-the-art technology, each Graham-White automatic drain is enhanced with numerous design features for continual trouble free operation under the most adverse conditions. For over seventy years, they have proven their reliability in the transport industries by expelling accumulated water, oil, scale and sludge from air tanks, accumulators, filters and alike. All operate without the use of troublesome floats. Our "Self-Actuating" design exhausts when the presence of water is sensed. Our "Air Actuated" and "Solenoid Actuated" styles are both equipped with our unique double seated, high capacity air saving design. Options include: Thermostatically controlled heaters for below freezing conditions. A variety of both AC and DC voltages. Manual overrides and mounting configurations.

Operating Valves

The Graham-White Operating Valve family is the direct result of both innovative and resourceful engineering. What it has created is a wide assortment of customized, heavy duty, high capacity, two & three way, leak proof valves. Each valve is enhanced with numerous design features for continual trouble free operation under the most adverse conditions. Custom applications include: Manual Quick Exhaust (711 Series Conductor), Manual Flow Metering (353 Series Horn), Push-Pull Control (616 Series) and Solenoid Actuated Relay Valves (571, 595 and 600 Series).

353 Series Manual Metering Valve (Horn Valve)

571 Series Relay Valves

595 Series Relay Valves

600 Series Relay Valves

601 Series Relay Valves
601 Series Relay Valves are typically used in the transit market for vehicle brake control applications.

616 Series Push-Pull Type Operating Valves

711 Series Conductor Valve

853-003 Air Start Valve (Relay Valve)

412-100 Electric, Modulated Horn Valve
Two solenoid valves and a single two way check valve all mounted to a common manifold.
The manifold significantly minimizes the amount of piping allowing for a single pressure input and single output to the horn. An orifice is used under one of the solenoid valves to provide the "LO" horn signal.

Check Valves

All Graham-White check valves are equipped with heavy-duty corrosion resistant iron or aluminum housings, in-line cartridges or valve wings and "O" Ring style leak proof sealing. Available in both a one and two-way check (shuttle) versions, threaded in-line connections or custom flange faces to adapt to specific air brake manifolds. The unique in-line cartridge design allows for quick and easy in-line servicing. Options include several configurations with orifices and with or without springs in the in-line cartridges.

Solenoid Valves

The heavy-duty GW Solenoid design with epoxy impregnated encapsulated "Class F continuous duty" coils are commonly used in the locomotive and rail transit industry with a variety of DC and AC input voltages. Faston tab or a terminal block connection with or without suppression devices are available along with a choice of coil housing or exposed coil with yoke. Special electrical connectors, normally open and closed can be specified to control various pneumatic functions including compressor control, dynamic brake, interlock, over speed, bell ringer, water circulation, etc. GW solenoid valves are designed with pipe brackets to permit easy maintenance as required. As a result, no air connections need to be disconnected. This reduces out-of-service time for your equipment and saves money. A unique duplex solenoid valve is available for one inlet connection and two outlets for dual operation.

712, 812, 912 Series Solenoid Valves

Normally Closed
This set of 812 solenoid valves have the non-threaded exhaust nut. They function as Normally Closed valves.

Normally Closed Or Normally Open
This set of 812s have the threaded exhaust nut. They function as either Normally Closed or Normally Open valves.

Normally Closed With Manual Override
In addition to having the non-threaded exhaust nut, this set of 812s also have a manual override feature. They function as Normally Closed valves.
